Biography

Stephanie Bae, PhD is an Associate Professor in the School of Hospitality Leadership. She earned a PhD in Hospitality Administration from Texas Tech University, a master’s degree in Hotel Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management both from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Prior to completing her PhD, Dr. Bae held positions at a number of Las Vegas hotels including MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, and Bellagio. Before joining ECU in 2017, she taught at James Madison University.

Dr. Bae’s research interests include consumer behavior and organizational behavior. Her work has been published in a variety of academic journals, and her studies have been presented at several conferences.

She enjoys spending her free time with her family and watching baseball (Go Dodgers!).

The Cupola Award in 2025, Most Valuable Professor in 2018, and 7 semesters of receiving the Honored Instructor Award.
