East Carolina University’s commitment to service extends well beyond the classroom. Located near several major military installations and recognized nationally as a military-friendly university, ECU supports active-duty service members, veterans, military families and future military leaders through academic programs, research partnerships, healthcare education and leadership development opportunities.

From ROTC cadets preparing for careers in public service to faculty collaborating with defense and national security partners, ECU is helping strengthen the military workforce while serving the needs of eastern North Carolina and the nation.
